Free Conflict Management and Women's Safety talk from SAFE by CST with Hertfordshire Constabulary and North Herts Council

Hertfordshire Constabulary, North Herts Council and SAFE by CST invite you to a seminar on Conflict Management and Women's Safety on Thursday 26th June.

Conflict Management:

In life you will be faced with difficult interpersonal situations. Our Conflict Management talk looks at verbal & non-verbal communication, conflict management styles, how to ‘spot the signs’ as a situation begins to escalate, de-escalation techniques and the legalities around self-defence. We aim to give you the tools to minimise the risk of turning a drama into a crisis.
 

Women’s safety:

Just because we do something every day, doesn't mean it’s always safe. We explore simple tips to assist in keeping you secure and protected during your busy daily life.
We discuss personal safety in both your professional and personal life, including on public transport, traveling to and from home, lone working, work visits, spiking, domestic abuse and stalking. We also look at how to use technology to assist with your safety. This talk focuses on Women's Safety – but the advice is, of course, useful for everyone!

SAFE talks and webinars are suitable for over 18s only.

Doors open at 5.30pm. Refreshments will be provided.

How to find us:

Parking is available in the multi storey car park immediately adjacent to the council offices - follow the sat nav directions (to SG6 3JF), drive past the main entrance to the council offices, then around the side and to the rear. We have asked for the car park to remain open till 8.45pm (it usually shuts at 7pm). There is also some on road parking near the venue, which is free. The nearest railway station is Letchworth and it is approximately a 10 minute walk away.
